Edwards Joins Exodus of Colorado Players to Enter Portal
Dylan Edwards, the leading rusher for the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023, has entered the transfer portal, sources told The Athletic. The news comes as a blow to Colorado, which is already facing an exodus of players to the portal.
Edwards rushed for 885 yards and seven touchdowns on 197 carries in 2023. He was the only Colorado running back to rush for more than 100 yards in a game last season.
Edwards' decision to enter the portal follows a disappointing season for Colorado, which finished 1-11 overall and 0-9 in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes have now lost four running backs to the transfer portal this offseason. Alex Fontenot, Deion Smith, and Jayle Stacks have all left the program.
